Re: Social Science Peer Reviewed Journal Articles Resource

I don't expect anyone to read all of them. That'd be torture. However, it does provide easy reference for questions people might have. I try to create categories that fit the discussions i see in the C&D and news threads. Also, when i stumble across fun or interesting reads (more pop culture-ish...

Re: 32-year-old man shot by police while producing license/reg in Minnesota; live streamed to Facebook

It's not like most people learn statistics or even critical thinking from the education that most of us receive Unfortunate but true. Given the racial gap in arrests and convictions I have to wonder Part a} What percentage of people killed by police are convicted felons Part b] What percentage of p...

Re: Social Science Peer Reviewed Journal Articles Resource

Re: The last movie I watched was ......

Just watched Inside Out...that was decent but not funny enough for my liking when it comes to cartoons.... Watched The Good Dinosaur and I really liked that. Both are super great films for kids, but I think you will like The Good Dinosaur even as an adult. And...before that I watched Terminator Geny...

Re: Social Science Peer Reviewed Journal Articles Resource

Updated: Added a new category. Due to recent events and the many discussions myself and others are having concerning the topic. I have provided a large amount of articles concerning police behavior, specifically police use of deadly force. For ease of access I have put this new category at the top o...

Re: The Dallas Shooting and The Overlap of American Social Issues

at the very least this sheds doubt on the proclamation that there is some disparity on the number of police shootings of blacks over other races. What doubt? the numbers are pretty concrete....The causes for the disparity is a different debate entirely, but there is a disparity. The Washington Post...

Re: Aamer Rahman (Fear of a Brown Planet) - Reverse Racism

Ink and Alice have pretty much covered most of what I would have added. Frankly, I think most of these debates revolve around the misuse of the word "racism" (and "racist"). As Ink points out, racism can reinforce prejudice . That key underlined phrase tells us that racism, preju...
