having a really sad day and need to laugh

my sister from another mister - my only real-life bff in the world is leaving my town and moving all the way as far across the country as she can get. to Washington State. tomorrow morning. and i couldn't see her one last time tonight at her goodbye party because i still have the flu and so does the fella.

and then one of my oldest friends in the world passed away today, very suddenly and unexpectedly. known her since i was maybe 8. grew up together. she was even my husband's boss for awhile a few years ago. now she's gone.

the in-laws gave us the best 4th of July present...scheduled a lawn service for us for the next 2 months! they came last week and did an awesome job and took care of parts that we hadn't been able to do with our push mower at all. babe, if you can, treat yourself just once and grab $25 and call someone!
