On this day in 1973, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of The Moon went to No.1 in the US. The album went on to enjoy a record-breaking 741 discontinuous weeks on the Billboard chart, and has now sold over 45 million copies world-wide. After moving to the Billboard Top Pop Catalog Chart, the album notched up a further 759 weeks there, and had reached a total of over 1,500 weeks on the combined charts by May 2006.

NIIIICE

u know ur an Old Koot when you can remember playing the 22-minute long complete version in vinyl, over and over again trying to decipher and write down the lyrics so you could eventually sing along word-for-word with the entire thing. :D

Today I actually said "I'm too old for this shit" and meant it...not sarcastically like usual.

Love vinyl still. The first record I remember listening to...

It's a bit older than I am...but not by too much.

We would speed things up so they would sound like the Chipmunks on purpose. (entertainment was so easy back then)

Hot Wheels! Those tracks never quite fit back together after a good battle.

I remember this episode of AB Grace Slick in a hoodie in 1967. The whole hoodie dress thing was a new concept but I liked it so well I made the dress for school. Then I took the hood off. It was to hot for Florida. Why did I wear a dress to school? Becasue we were not allowed to wear pants yet.

Former Russian breakdancer searches the globe for participants of the Soviet Union's breakdancing festival held in 1986. Most are now in their 40's and 50's, but the old Russian koots can still bust a move or two.

^HAHA VHS, be kind please rewind.

I watched The Great Muppet Caper do much, the tape inside of the plastic tape disintegrated. I think that happened with The Goonies as well.
