Electoral College - get rid of it?

Postby Candeeoke » Fri Jul 29, 2016 6:45 pm

I'd like this thread to examine the electoral college and if we should get rid of it. If so, how would that be done? If not, why?

There was actually a video on Youtube that I watched that had a really simple and ingenious method to replace our current clusterfuck of a system with... now if only I could find it.

Here's the thing; The system as it exists is indeed flawed, but it's there for a reason. The issue isn't just finding something to replace it. You would still have to do something to make sure that the system still does the good that it currently does, but fixes it's other flaws... not only that, but you then have to get the status quo to embrace, accept and adopt it in a timely, non-bureaucratic way not filled with red tape and the typical political BS... aka gooooood luck.
