How would you describe the way your mind works?

Postby Itsa notame » Sat Aug 20, 2016 6:19 am

I've recently thought it's like a Rolodex with infinite thoughts flipping at a pace I can't register until it stops and focuses in on one or flips between multiple ones for whatever time period is needed.

Like an electrical fractal image. Each thought instantly looks/electrically sparks possible outcomes from the central thought pushing out the moves ahead to a plethora of conclusions. The key here is instant- it is not as if I choose the various possibilities- they are just there- the next point on the mandala of if/then.

I never may believe
These antique fables nor these fairy toys.
Lovers and madmen have such seething brains,
Such shaping fantasies, that apprehend
More than cool reason ever comprehends.
The lunatic, the lover, and the poet
Are of imagination all compact.
One sees more devils than vast hell can hold—
That is the madman. The lover, all as frantic,
Sees Helen’s beauty in a brow of Egypt.
The poet’s eye, in fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to Earth, from Earth to heaven. midsummer nights dream
