For years thousands of people, gamers primarily, have been frothing at the mouth for VR. With the prices up there, the privacy concerns, the space requirements...just...everything...VR is in a state of flux and chaos. All that said, are you going to get one? if so which?

For me, I'm probably going to wait til the Vive is around 250-300(2-3 years?) and I'd require EVE Valkyrie on it. I cannot support Facebook in their aquisition of Oculus and as an avid reader of Cyberpunk I don't like their tactics concerning marketing via Oculus home and whatever else they decide to do with it.

Also, another concern is the lack of realism. Most of what I've seen from any of the devices seems very rudimentary and basic. I understand that there is still a lot in development for VR but after all these years of funding and devkits I expected more. I expected better I expected Ready Player One. The products thus far don't even even me the glee that I had with MUD's in the 90's which were actually just magic to my 8 year old self.

I feel so let down :(

I mean..I grew up on SciFi too but I guess my perspective is different? What about it terrifies you? I know the common fears but I'm curious of yours.

I'd love it now for things like flight simulators. Flying your plane whilst being able to look around the cockpit and landscape freely would be a really amazing immersive experience. I could see it being a bit distracting for FPS games and the like, but simulations and racing games would be great IMO.

I would love to have a VR RPG, like Skyrim or the like. That would be my ultimate VR game. I'm just waiting for someone to pop one out.
