The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe

Postby Feydakin » Wed Oct 05, 2016 2:32 pm

Among other things, Mike Rowe does a weekly podcast from his kitchen where he tells an interesting story, usually about a person that has done something interesting that people might not know about. It reminds me a lot of Paul Harvey, and in fact many people are calling Mike Rowe this generations Paul Harvey... I can't say that I disagree. He usually does his podcasts live on Facebook every week. Here are some links.

He really is one of the good ones. He does a lot of charity work and has an organization called mikeroweworks.org where he does work (imagine) bringing awareness for the need for skilled labor over useless college degrees where you will bury yourself in debt and not be able to find a job. Some people say that, because of some of the people he knows and works with (the Koch brothers in particular) that he is in bed with big corp... but that is really silly considering his message and the actual good work that he does. Anyhow, this thread isn't about that, but is rather about his great podcast. ;)

That is just his latest one! I urge people to go back through his videos, watch them, find and post your favorite! It's well worth it, you learn a little something, get inspired and they are usually only about 5 minutes long. :)

Interview regarding the high cost of college, college debt, etc...
