An absolute musical genius. He could - and did - do it all. He was one of the most naturally gifted musicians ever in my opinion. He threw away more great music that most artists will ever come close to producing. RIP.

Really sad to hear this news yesterday.
Prince was one of the coolest people to ever exist, right up there with David Bowie. :(
I always air-guitar jam out and sing along when his stuff comes on.
He had a lot more music in him to share with the world.

R.I.P. Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016) :(

My Lady is kinda takin it hard, she is a big fan. Glad we got to see him last month.

"Can you make it rain harder?"

Great Prince story:

So in 2004 Prince was being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with George Harrison and others. Earlier that year Rolling Stone Magazine listed its Top 100 Guitarist of all time and sadly (and unwisely) omitted Prince from the list. The Purple One reportedly took offence to the snub. At the Hall of Fame Gala, he took the stage with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and (George Harrison's son) Dhani Harrison to preform "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in tribute to the late Beatle. While the song starts rather tame it ends with Prince absolutely SHREDDING a solo that left jaws agape. Pay close attention to Dhani's amazement and Prince's exit from the stage. "Fuck You" indeed to Rolling Stone who in 2011 added Prince in at #33 on their list.

Behold: His Royal Badness!
Who else could rock this lacy outfit and still look badass?
Is it getting hot in here?
Aged gracefully would be an understatement.
Good night, sweet Prince.

There are some, very few people that when you watch them perform you can see their aura. If you're not sensitive to such things then you cannot explain it, but you recognize it nonetheless. The way a person moves, every twitch, every facial expression exudes a presence. The presence of the inexplicable "something" that the very best of us have, that makes us all a little better for being exposed to them... Prince was one of those vaunted few.

It is funny but it says something about single minded obsession. The whole business about heels is kinda funny. I spent a fair amount of my life wearing heals everyday. I relate to Princes responses.

I do wonder what will happen to the vault now.

It is also kinda weird that he and MJ were Jehovah witnesses. I am betting he never knocked on doors.

I'm still floored that he passed. He had so much more living to do! Anyone call foul play?
