the whole idea of non-linear time was something i was first introduced to in Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five
totally agree that our sense of time as 4th dimension is completely limited, as we are currently 3-dimension beings utilizing just a minute fraction of our minds' true capabilities. our brains *must* put everything we experience into a format that makes sense to us - the narrative - and therefore can only perceive time as a basic cause-effect series of progression from point A to point B.

or at least, that's my take on it for now
