**Some law review Articles have been included in these lists. While these articles are not scientific, they often add context and go through their own peer review process. As time goes on work will be done to denote which articles are law review articles. That being said, until then, the law review articles tend to be clearly noted as such on their first page where the journal name would normally be listed.

I will have to check out those race articles as most statistics on race v police action do not norm for localized socioeconomic criteria which render national averages totally misleading.

Thanks guys, I am turning this into my primary project for Ninja. That being said, please try to update me if any links stop working. Some of the articles linked are law reviews. These tend to go through a review process, but are legal reviews and not scientific tests. Also, I will provide links for a few topics covered by hard science (i.e. vaccines).

Kyphe wrote:...most statistics on race v police action do not norm for localized socioeconomic criteria which render national averages totally misleading.

So true. When it comes to traffic stop encounters/stop and frisk, it is a problem of data collection. Most of the data used to study police decision making is official data collected by police officers. Groups like the Fraternal Order of Police and other police unions openly oppose any legislation calling for better data collection efforts (their websites outright list their opposition to such laws).

^^^ hmm...so right there, lies the kink in complete information. Another factor to consider, other than police misinformation, is many minorities in the US do not trust police, hence they would be rather apprehensive to report such abuses, or even identify with it

I made a note to myself to update with more papers about data collection issues. Eventually, I will create a category just for data collection issues. For now, the ones I am finding mostly apply to the race category.

I still have tons to add, this is just a skeleton of what I'm trying to do with this thread. Each week I should be able to add another 50-100 articles. At least, that is my goal for now.

Convict Criminology has been added and is pretty much completed. I will add new articles that become available as I find them.

I have also updated the list with sections for articles about STD's and Social Media.

Again, weekly updates still to come.

:O

man.. there is no way im going to even get close to going through all of these.. but i will say that there are a bunch of gems in here already. 31 pdf's on (DWB)/racial profiling/traffic stop decision making alone, you have done a great service for the entitled, the priviledged and the oblivious... although, they might never know it. :|

UPDATE

A new, albeit limited, section on economic/financial terrorism has been added. There are limited materials available for this line of research which indicates just how limited this field of study and topic is with academics. All articles that do discuss economic/financial terrorism define terrorism as involving criminal actions, whether violent or non-violent. Thus, most discussions of economic terrorism revolve around fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, corruption, and cyber crime.

The juvenile Delinquency section has been updated and expanded slightly.

The "other/interesting" section has been expanded and updated to include articles citing/discussing Game of Thrones, CSI, HBO, Battlestar Galactica, & The Wire.

I think we should start article club with this one:

"Battlestar Galactica: A Vehicle of the American Road (Creative Writing Journal) (PDF)"

Not too long, covers a show many of us have watched, not limited to a specific field of study...I think it'd be a good one to start with.

Updated Juvenile Delinquency section and added two links to the "interesting" section-one is about comics, another is about Wonder Woman.
