Glad ya'll like the theme :)

Look forward to your entries. I also was looking at a tutorial myself for the last SOTW. That is where the idea came from. If anyone has ideas for SOTW, please do not hesitate to inbox them to me.

Just curious, were you intending for everyone to follow THAT tut or just to follow A tut?

Follow that one, as closely as you can, not every outcome will look the same.

It covers a lot of basics, that some folks might not understand. I am trying to get folks to try and make sigs and other graphics work.

If I ever do follow a follow a tut again, I'll pick a more advanced tutorial. I have some old ones saved from back in the day, I just have to rehost them because the forums are now gone.

I don't have access to PS right now either! Otherwise I'd give it a go.

It would be great if we had a GIMP tutorial/resources thread somewhere :)

****UPDATE****

The Follow a Tut --- Please use a tut you have found that matches your graphics program. Please submit a link or a copy of it when you turn it into me.

This means that this SOTW has been extended until Next Sunday at 11:59 29th of Oct to allow for this update.

This is due to the different graphic programs that everyone has, not everyone has Photoshop (something I did not take into account, for which I do apologize).

Thanks for clearing that up Sky. I think you can get a free 30 day trial of Photoshop but your solution works too. I'm just wondering how easy it will be to find a sig tut for some of the more obscure programs.

I am not sure about that either but it at least allows for others to find something that works for them. I used to use Fireworks (when it was still owned by Macromedia), to make some of my first sigs before I learned how to use Photoshop.

I am going to add to the resources over the next few weeks, a section on Gimp, for those who still want to do this and want a freeware option to Photoshop.
