yes, looks pretty clean, dope! haha now that i think about it, Alice needs an avi and im slow.. i can picture that as a cool digital montage. but im just thinking out loud though. but Ben, do you mind if i springboard off that idea? maybe color the background and try and turn it into an avi? it just looks real clean like and i might be able to introduce some added coolness with the negative space.. i wouldnt interfere with the drawing though. just a thought

He has like a whole series! He's done a bunch of them, like one called "Cthulhu'hooping", and an adorable one of him sleeping underwater with a teddy bear. ;)

I don't have a TON of those Cutethulhu ones, but it is one of my recurring characters. It's a juxtaposition. Hugs, f'taghn?

Most of my stuff is just line art, but I got some nice Japanese brush tip pens a year ago that I used on that ninja lettering and some of the others.

Mostly I just draw in pen, though. Ballpoint, gel point. Whatever I have in the office, which is usually the only place I ironically find time to draw.

The demon/homunculus girl was colored with markers, and the ninja logo colored pencil. Thanks, Crayola.

I haven't let myself give that much to my art, so I don't have much outside of drawing/inking supplies.

right on bro.. give it time. you keep pushing yourself to kick out more content, i can foresee new depth through your mediums, and supplies start to broaden.

Another one from today.

Thanks guys. I'm actually working through some mental shit which has kind of stymied my posting, but I'm subsequently putting more effort in to my art.

You're right about hands being a good study, ink. I don't really seem to work with guidelines and just do better eyeing contours/angles, and hand have a lot of lines to work with.

Actually, art is great form of therapy. I use it often and its saved my life, lots of times. :D
Lol at the guidelines, yo you should see how many lines i use when i sketch. i figure if i have a milloin lines, one has got be right lol... but quick gesture drawing is what really made me loosen up, in regards to how tight i was drawing. it wasnt until i was on a time limit to create figures, that i started to let go of the perfect lines and just kind of let things flow more naturally. My own style then developed and improved i guess. Keep them coming though bro, this is the stuff that helps grow your 3rd eye! :D

I keep trying to get him to do time-crunch drawings. Like, "You have an hour, this is your prompt, go."

I'm always telling him his art is really good and I'm glad he's seeing people back me up now. ;)

I still don't really have my own definitive style. I need to make myself practice more often for that I think.
